Continuing professional education (CPE) is a very significant activity nurses should undertake. With the continuous change in medical knowledge and skills as well as the rapid technological advancement in the nursing profession, CPE is imperative. A descriptive-correlational type of study was conducted to examine status of CPE, assess needs for CPE, examine relationship between personal and professional characteristics of nurses and CPE, and propose a new CPE. Based on the findings, eight recommendations were offered.
