Glass has high compression strength but low tensile strength. In this paper the authors proposed Hybrid Glass Beam (HGB “model-a, b, c and d”) that can control the stress of glass member to pre-stress into the tension member. The derivation and characteristics of each model are shown through the results of experiments and numerical analysis of the proposed models.
