This study was designed to investigate the effects of computer modeling software on how twenty Chicago high school students learned the physics concept of pressure. Hypermedia scaffolding was specially designed into the modeling system in order to help students explore models in the system. The results show that exploring computer models had a positive effect on students' conceptual understanding of scientific phenomenon of pressure.
