Osteogenesis Imperfecta (OI) is a rare, genetically heterogeneous connective tissue disorder that involves primarily the bone. Association with spine is usually related to the presence of pathologic fractures and deformities. Only scattered reports of back pain are noted in the literature. There is a limited amount of available information regarding the prevalence of back pain in patients with OI. In addition no study has related severity of OI or presence of spinal deformities with back pain. Therefore the purpose of this study is to find the prevalence of back pain in individuals with OI and determine the relationship between back pain and OI type.
